With six New York Emmy Awards and seven nominations for his work at the YES Network, Flaherty's expertise extends beyond the baseball diamond. Flaherty presents and distills his game analysis to over 300,000 live TV viewers each broadcast.

Drafted by the Boston Red Sox in 1988, Flaherty's career spanned 14 seasons with five different teams.

He is best known for his pinch-hit walk-off single in a 13-inning game against the Red Sox. Flaherty was inducted into 5 hall of fames, including the New York State Baseball Hall of Fame and the George Washington University Athletic Hall of Fame.

Flaherty's success on the field is matched by his dedication to giving back to the community.

He serves on the Access Foundation Board for Access: Supports for Living and serves on the Board of Directors for the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation.
